A new law has been put in place since July 1st that will help home owners combat foreclosure but they have to act fast. The new law helps people seek mediation and gives adequate time to negotiate with lenders for loan modification in order to combat foreclosures. Officials points out that the service of housing counselors is mostly available free of cost. However people are not aware of this.
